Who these terms apply to

SearchMyVacation, trading as Search My Vacation, provides travel planning, coordination and travel services. These Terms and Conditions apply when you ask Search My Vacation to plan, quote, arrange, coordinate or sell travel services for you.

Please read them carefully before accepting a quotation or asking us to confirm travel services. Where a supplier’s terms apply to a service, those terms also apply and may contain additional conditions, cancellation charges or limitations.

Our role

Search My Vacation acts as a travel planner, coordinator and seller of travel services. We help understand your travel needs, prepare options, coordinate services, provide quotations and, when you authorise us, arrange confirmed travel services.

Some travel services are delivered by independent suppliers. Search My Vacation may arrange those services on your behalf or sell them as part of an agreed travel arrangement, while the relevant supplier remains responsible for delivering its own service.

Journey Passport and Journey Director

The Journey Passport helps you share what matters for your journey. It is not a booking request, reservation, quotation, confirmation or guarantee of availability.

Journey Director recommendations and a Journey Synopsis are advisory planning tools. They are designed to support an informed conversation with a human Journey Designer; they do not confirm routes, inventory, prices, visas, weather, supplier availability or inclusions.

No travel service is booked or held unless Search My Vacation confirms it in writing after receiving the required payment or deposit and supplier confirmation where applicable.

Quotations and validity

Unless a quotation states otherwise, the following Release 1 validity periods apply from the time the quotation is issued:

The following rules apply to every quotation:

• A quotation is not a reservation or confirmation.
• Hotels, transport, flights and other travel services are not held unless Search My Vacation explicitly confirms this in writing.
• Prices and availability remain subject to change until the required deposit or payment has been received and the booking has been confirmed.
• If a supplier specifies a shorter validity period, the supplier’s validity will prevail.
• Promotional offers, limited-inventory properties and special fares may expire earlier than the standard validity periods.
• Search My Vacation reserves the right to revise or withdraw a quotation before confirmation if there is a material change in supplier pricing, availability, taxes, government levies, exchange rates, or any other factor outside its reasonable control. Where possible, we will notify you promptly and provide an updated quotation.

Availability, pricing and confirmation

Inventory is not held unless Search My Vacation confirms it in writing. Availability, rates, taxes, government levies, exchange rates, airline rules and supplier conditions can change before confirmation.

A booking is confirmed only when Search My Vacation gives written confirmation after the required deposit or payment has been received and the relevant supplier confirmation has been obtained where applicable. Until then, a proposed journey remains subject to availability and price change.

How travel services are sourced

To arrange travel services, Search My Vacation may source services through one or more of the following models:

1. Direct purchase from suppliers. 2. Authorised OTA agent platforms. 3. B2B travel suppliers. 4. International DMC partners.

The sourcing model may vary by destination, service and availability. The relevant supplier’s booking, payment, amendment, cancellation and refund conditions apply in addition to these terms.

Traveller responsibilities

You are responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely information. In particular:

• traveller names must be exactly accurate and match the relevant passport, government-issued identification or travel document;
• you must review all itineraries, quotations, confirmations and travel documents promptly and tell us about an error without delay;
• you are responsible for meeting passport, visa, health, vaccination, entry, transit and other travel requirements, unless Search My Vacation explicitly agrees in writing to provide a particular assistance service; and
• you must make payments by the stated deadline to avoid loss of availability or cancellation.

Search My Vacation is not responsible for costs or losses caused by inaccurate traveller information, missed deadlines or a traveller’s failure to meet applicable travel requirements.

Amendments and supplier changes

If you request an amendment after a quotation or booking, Search My Vacation will check what is possible. Customer-requested amendments may be subject to supplier availability, fare differences, supplier charges and any disclosed Search My Vacation service fee.

Suppliers may change schedules, routes, accommodation, service times or other arrangements. Where we receive notice, Search My Vacation will communicate the material change and, where reasonably possible, help you understand the available options. Supplier changes remain subject to the supplier’s own terms and operational decisions.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation requests must be sent to Search My Vacation in writing. Cancellation charges are determined by the relevant supplier terms, the timing of your request and any non-refundable amounts already paid or committed.

Refunds, if any, depend on the supplier’s refund approval and terms. Search My Vacation will process or pass on an approved refund within a reasonable time after it is received and reconciled, subject to any lawful deductions, supplier charges, taxes or disclosed service fees. A refund is not due merely because a quotation has not been confirmed or because a supplier declines a refund under its terms.

Insurance and travel assistance

Travel insurance is an important personal protection decision. International assistance may be available through authorised partners. Domestic insurance is not currently facilitated by Search My Vacation.

Any insurance or assistance product is subject to the relevant partner’s eligibility, terms, exclusions and claims process. You should review those terms carefully and decide whether the protection is suitable for your needs.

International SIM and e-SIM assistance

Search My Vacation may assist with international SIM or e-SIM options through relevant providers or partners. Availability, activation, coverage, device compatibility, data allowances and support are governed by the provider’s terms. Any such assistance does not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity.

Service charges

Service charges may be included within the quoted price. If a service fee is separately chargeable, Search My Vacation will disclose it before booking confirmation.

Events Beyond Our Control

Search My Vacation is not responsible for a delay, change, loss or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic or public-health event, war, civil disturbance, terrorism, government action, border closure, strike, transport disruption or supplier operational failure.

Where an event affects travel, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate available options. Any refund, credit, rebooking or alternative arrangement remains subject to supplier terms, availability and applicable law.

Liability

Search My Vacation will provide its services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by an independent supplier’s act or omission, or a change outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or connected with these terms, subject to applicable law.
